Mesa Spirit RV Resort
I decided to take advantage of one the Thousand Trails Collections sites where I could get in for a week while working in Peoria at Spring Training in the Mariner/Padre Stadium there. It was about a 50-mile commute but mostly freeway and I was able to get to the ballpark in less than an hour. The RV Park is the biggest one I’ve ever been in with 1,667 sites that are mostly filled. I was in a site pretty close to the main road so heard quite a bit of traffic and sirens every once in a while. Other than that, I have no complaints!
Many people stay in the park for extended periods of time and there is an abundance of permanent trailers, both park models and older trailers as well. The park is a pet friendly senior adult community; didn’t see any kids! I didn’t take advantage of all there is to offer here including pools, spas, tennis courts, miniature golf, pool, pickle ball, horseshoes, barbeque pits, etc. They even have a shop where people were making furniture and doing other types of crafts. It is my sense that most people here are here for 6 months or so over the year.
The one thing I was pleasantly surprised about was the spacious and clean laundry room. This is the most reasonably priced laundry facility that I’ve come across in my time on the road. Washing was $1.25 and a 30-minute drying cycle was only 50 cents. For me, when I come back into the area, I’ll plan on staying here again. The sites were spacious, the staff friendly and the park is very clean. Pictured below is the laundry room on the left. The salt free water is 25 cents a gallon and the restrooms to the right are really nice and clean.
